Walking Through Fire for Mental Health
I’m taking part in the FireWalk across hot coals to raise money for Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust’s health charity, and for me, it’s about so much more than just the challenge.
I’ve lived with mental health difficulties since adolescence and have used various services throughout my life. I’ve also seen people I care about deeply go through their own struggles and receive the support they needed from the NHS. These services save lives, change lives, and hold people up when they feel like they can’t stand on their own.
Right now, mental health services are stretched like never before, and I want to play my part in giving something back.
Walking on fire feels symbolic to me. It’s about facing fear head-on, testing my own mental and physical limits, and showing that we are all capable of walking through the heat of life’s toughest moments and coming out stronger.
If I can take one step on those hot coals, maybe it will remind someone else that they can take one step toward their own healing too. 💪🔥

Wednesday 17th SepI'm taking part in CNWL NHS Health Charity’s Firewalk and challenging myself to walk across hot embers.
This charity funds vital projects that go beyond standard NHS funding, supporting the health and wellbeing of patients, staff, and communities across one of the largest mental health and community NHS trusts in the country.
