I'm taking 2026 to new heights (literally!) 

I'm challenging myself to abseil over 200 feet to support CNWL NHS Health Charity. 

This amazing charity supports pioneering projects that go beyond NHS funding, enhancing the health and well-being of patients, staff, and the wider community within one of the largest mental health and community NHS trusts.

Wednesday 18th Mar
As I approach my bed, ready for an early night, I reflect on the beautiful moral support I've received to get here.

As an ode to that- I spent my evening writing my sponsors names onto a top I'll sport with pride and joy tomorrow, as I descent over 200ft off the side of a building in central London!

Someone said earlier- "I bet you'll get to the bottom and want to do it all over again..." I think they're probably going to be right! Since having the medical all clear only yesterday, nothing is stopping me from feeling the nerves and excitement now! 

It's been an intense week... There's been real great highs (lol) and also some big lows too.. I wont go into it all but I'll leave you with this- "life is a gift, that's why we call it the present"... and that'll be what drives me tomorrow- being present in the moment and believing in the now.

I'm currently £11 away from hitting the target and I cannot thank you all enough for sharing, donating and having my back with this! I feel the love and hope to protect it right back 🌞

Friday 13th Mar
Guyssssssss....! What can I say... I'd said to myself if I even make it to the halfway point funding wise, the rest would all be a bonus.. And you came through so beautifully! 

I've had a pretty intense week and reflecting on your names and messages makes me feel so much love and support. Nothing can bring me down right now! 

I just wanted to do a quick note saying thank you to those who newly donated and update on my progress.

I'm in "beef cake mode" and have been keeping active as much as possible whilst also trying not to over do it, (learned my lesson this week after just recovering from achey quads from last week's footie training, swimming and cycling all over the place). 

Shout out to my colleagues in Hillingdon too for passing me little words of moral support and expressions of gratitude... I love my job and I want to do you all so proud!

But hey! Basically now just over £100 quid left and we're there right! Brrrrrappppp! I love it!

Wednesday 4th Mar
...and that's a lot less than what I'll be climbing! 

The closer I get to the target and toward the abseil itself the more nervous I get! This weekend I took a trip up Battersea Tower chimney which is 358ft... it felt very high! I thought "approximately 100ft less and I'll be doing this!". 

I wanted to say a huge thank you to you all and update you on my progress :) 
Wanting to get a fit as possible in the run up, today I played footie with Riverside Rangers FC my local mental health football team, which (at times), receives funding from CNWL charity! 
I want to go swimming more too, I'm going to aim for 40 lengths a week in the run up to the 19th.

All donations received motivate me to do the above. Not only helping me focus on improving my own wellbeing but supporting to raise funds to improve the wellbeing of others too.
