I'm fundraising for...CNWL National Health Charity
Paris Marathon – 12 April
In March last year, I started running properly for the first time. What began as a simple attempt to get fitter gradually turned into something far more challenging and rewarding than I ever expected.
By September 2025, I completed my first half marathon at the Nottingham Robin Hood Half Marathon. I went on to run two more half marathons later that year, each one pushing me further and reinforcing how much steady training and consistency really do pay off.
On 12 April 2026, I’ll be stepping up to my biggest challenge yet: the Paris Marathon. Moving from half marathons to a full 26.2 miles is a big jump. The training has been tough, time-consuming, and at times uncomfortable, especially at this time of year. But that’s the point. This is about doing something hard and seeing it through.
I’m raising money for CNWL National Health Charity. I’ve chosen CNWL because it’s a smaller NHS charity where donations can make a very direct difference. They support mental health services, community care, and staff wellbeing, areas where extra funding genuinely improves people’s lives.
I know many people have supported my running challenges before, and I’m very grateful. Please don’t feel any obligation to donate again. But if you’re able to contribute, even a small amount, it will help support this important work and give me an extra push on the long miles through Paris.
Thank you for your support,
Simon

Best wishes Sime xx
